M.Ed., R.Psych., CHT, Psychologist
I am a psychologist with training and experience in body-centered/somatic therapy, play therapy, trauma therapies, and collaborative family law. I am also a mother of two unique and interesting children, a wife, and a daughter. I have been drawn to helping people since I was young, I have always felt a great deal of empathy and connection with people. Being an introvert and a sensitive person, I naturally understand and feel other people's emotions and energies. I have been most influenced by Hakomi therapy which is a powerful yet gentle body-centered psychotherapy that works with the whole person and believes in the wholeness within each of us. I have also worked with children, adolescents, and their families for many years, mostly with separated/divorced families, but also with other issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma; I love this work because my young clients keep me connected to what is real, true, and good in all of us. I have been in private practice for many years and have recently returned to working with a wonderful group of colleagues at Cloverdale Professional Group.
